Villain (විලන්) Film

"Villain" (විලන්) is a 2024 Sri Lankan Sinhala-language action masala film directed by Lassana Jayasekara, who also co-produced it alongside Kelum Aryan under the banners of Lassana Creations and NK Films. The film features Kelum Aryan in the lead role, with Dasuni Sinethma, Sudhiksha Samadhi, Sanju Samarasinghe, and debutant Sheran Peiris in supporting roles. This film marks Lassana Jayasekara's directorial debut in cinema. He also took on multiple roles, including editing, sound design, background music, and music direction. Kelum Aryan, apart from acting, contributed to the film's production, story, dialogues, and screenplay. The cinematography was handled by Gihan Viraj Narasinghe, with Nisani Jayasekara overseeing editing and sound administration. Filming took place between May and September 2022. During production, Kelum Aryan was hospitalized following an accident while performing an action scene. The film's teaser was released in November 2022, and it premiered on January 4, 2024, in EAP and MPI theatres.
