Heshani Liyadipita, born on June 19, 1996, is a prominent Sri Lankan actress and model. Her journey to fame reached new heights when she clinched the title of Derana Awurudu Kumariya in 2020. Her foray into the world of acting commenced with the Darani Teledrama.
Originally hailing from the heart of Sri Lanka, Colombo, Heshani was born and raised in this vibrant capital city. She received her early education at Colombo Yashodara Balika College and went on to graduate with honors, earning a BPA from the University of the Visual and Performing Arts in 2022.
Heshani possesses remarkable skills as a dancer and has even established her dance studio, known as the Heshani Liyadipita Dance Academy.
One of her notable works includes the teledrama "Dharani," which airs on TV Derana. The show revolves around the inspiring journey of a resilient widow who faces numerous hardships and challenges. The drama is directed by Sriyantha Prasad Rathnayake, with Niduk Madhusika as the scriptwriter and Janaka Siriwaradhana as the producer. "Dharani" also served as the platform for introducing Heshani and Dilushi Hansika as fresh and promising talents to the industry.
In addition to "Dharani," Heshani has graced the small screen in the teledrama "Sanda Wimana," which was broadcasted on ITN. This production was helmed by directors Nipuna Walpitagamage and Lakshman Pushpakumara and produced by Winoja Nilanthi and Priyantha Mapa Wijesinghe.
