She is a model of Sri Lankan-Lebanese descent and achieved fame as the winner of the 2011 Miss Universe Sri Lanka competition. She is the eldest among her four siblings, consisting of three younger brothers.[2] At the age of three, due to the escalating Gulf War, her family relocated to Sri Lanka. Notably, she is the founder of the Stephanie Siriwardhana Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting sexually abused young girls by providing them with transitional shelter and assistance.[10][11]</p>
