Stephanie Siriwardhana (Sinhala: ස්ටෙෆනි සිරිවර්ධන; born 5 February 1988) is a Sri Lankan-Lebanese model and the winner of 2011 Miss Universe Sri Lanka she represented her country at the 2011 Miss Universe pageant.[1] She is also the main host of The Voice Teens Sri Lanka season 1 and 2.
Stephanie Siriwardhana, also known as ස්ටෙෆනි සිරිවර්ධන in Sinhala, was born on February 5, 1988, in Kuwait. She is a model of Sri Lankan-Lebanese descent and achieved fame as the winner of the 2011 Miss Universe Sri Lanka competition. Representing her country, she participated in the prestigious 2011 Miss Universe pageant.[1] In addition to her modeling career, Stephanie has established herself as the primary host of seasons 1 and 2 of The Voice Teens Sri Lanka.
Stephanie's family background is a blend of Sri Lankan and Lebanese heritage. She is the eldest among her four siblings, consisting of three younger brothers.[2] At the age of three, due to the escalating Gulf War, her family relocated to Sri Lanka. After completing her primary education there, Stephanie ventured to Italy and later Canada, where she earned a degree in Journalism, Communications, and Political Science from Concordia University in Montreal.[3][4]
In July 2011, Stephanie secured the coveted title of Miss Universe Sri Lanka,[5][6] which granted her the opportunity to represent her nation at the Miss Universe pageant held in Brazil that same year.[7] Continuing her success in beauty pageants, she was crowned Miss Asia Pacific World Sri Lanka in 2013.[8]
Beyond her modeling and pageantry achievements, Stephanie is an active member of the Global Shapers Community[9] and has served as a senator in the 2nd Sri Lankan Youth Parliament. Notably, she is the founder of the Stephanie Siriwardhana Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting sexually abused young girls by providing them with transitional shelter and assistance.[10][11]
