Thesara Jayawardane is a multi-talented Sri Lankan artist, excelling as a film and teledrama actress, singer, dancer, TV presenter, and author. She is happily married to Jeeth Sumedha Samarasekara, and their wedding ceremony took place at Eagles Lake Side Banquet & Conventional Hall in Attidiya, Ratmalana. Thesara holds a full-time position as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa, while also serving as a visiting Lecturer at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CASL), Edulink Campus, Imperial Institute of Higher Education, Saegis Campus, and CFPS Law School.
In 2012, Thesara received the prestigious World Prize in recognition of her remarkable academic accomplishments in marketing. She was honored for her exceptional performance in the Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing conducted by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK).
Throughout her career, Thesara has garnered accolades for her acting prowess. She was bestowed with the OCIC/SIGNIS Tele Award for Best Actress in 2008, and she also received the Best Supporting Actress Award at the State National Tele Drama Awards (Rajya Sammana Ulela) for her outstanding portrayal of Fathima in "East is Calling" (Sinhala: නැගෙනහිර වෙරළෙන් ඇසෙනා).
Thesara made her debut in teledrama acting through the series "Athbhutha Laampuwa," directed by Bennette Ratnayake.
