Imali Siriwardena is a prominent figure in the Sri Lankan entertainment industry, renowned as a film and teledrama actress, as well as a professional dancer by vocation.[1]
Career
Before making her mark in the world of cinema and television, Siriwardena established herself as a highly regarded dancer in Sri Lanka. She has graced the silver screen with her presence in several movies, notably "Suwanda Denuna Jeewithe," "King Hunther," and the commercially successful "Ranja."[2] Her acting prowess in teledramas, including "Sandagalathenna," has also garnered critical acclaim, although the source of this acclaim is unspecified.[3]
Himali also once managed her dancing troupe, 'The Sensations,' but unfortunately, it disbanded due to various disputes.
In 2017, she showcased her talents as a member of Team Shakyans in the reality show "Hiru Mega Stars," which aired on Hiru TV.[4][5] After a brief hiatus, she made a comeback in 2019 by taking part in the comedy television serial "Sihina Samagama." Furthermore, in 2021, she assumed the role of a judge in the dance reality show "Hiru Super Dancers."
