Conganige Sajitha Anuththara Anthony, widely known as Sajitha Anthony, was born on November 11, 1991, in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He hails from an artistic family and is the youngest child of his parents. His father, Jackson Anthony, is a renowned actor, director, producer, singer, screenwriter, television host, novelist, columnist, lyricist, historian, and traveler in the Sri Lankan cinema, theater, and television industry. Sajitha's mother, Kumari Sandalatha Munasinghe, is also a singer and actor in the same industry.
Sajitha has an older sister named Madhavee Wathsala and an older brother named Akila Dhanuddara. Both Madhavee and Akila are actors in cinema and television. Akila has appeared in popular films such as "Siri Parakum" and "Address Na," while Madhavee has been seen in the film "Address Na." Madhavee is married to Milan Silva.
Sajitha's uncle, Senaka Titus Anthony, who was an actor and journalist, passed away in Singapore on October 23, 2017. Another uncle, Sudath Anthony, is also an actor in television.
Sajitha is married to his longtime partner, Buwinika Maneesha Halvitige. They tied the knot on January 18, 2019, alongside Sajitha's two siblings. On May 21, 2022, the couple welcomed their first child.
Sajitha began his acting career in 2004 with the film "Sooriya Arana," where he played the role of Tikira. The movie became the highest-grossing film in the history of Sri Lankan cinema. He made his television debut in the musical show "Hapan Padura." In 2008, he played a prominent role in the film "Aba," directed by his father.
Throughout his career, Sajitha has acted in critically acclaimed films such as "Eka Gei Sokari," "Gaadi," and "Sihina Sameekarana." In 2016, he starred in the leading role of the teledrama "Bohimiyanuwa," which aired on Swarnawahini channel. The series, a story of radical romance, received two awards for "Best Upcoming Actor" in 2017 at the Raigam Teleawards and Sumathi Awards.
In 2018, Sajitha took on a role in the telecast series "Kanamadiriyo" on ITN TV.
