Dinupa Kodagoda is a graduate of Kalabhumi and represents its third generation of resource personnel.
Her journey as a dancer began during her early childhood. At the tender age of 4, she joined the Nanda Malini Sangeethashramaya to learn singing. While studying at St. Joseph's Girls' School in Nugegoda, she enrolled at Kalabhumi in 1998 to study Sri Lankan Low country dance under the distinguished guidance of Mrs. Beatrice Weerasinghe and Mr. Sanath Abeykoon. Later, she pursued Hindustani Classical Music under the tutelage of Mrs. Manjula Seneviratne.
In 2001, she was selected to perform in the popular children's TV music program "Hapan Pedura." During this time, she had the privilege of becoming a member of the Dr. Premasiri Khemadasa Foundation, where she received training and worked as a vocalist.
Dinupa was chosen to pursue an undergraduate study program at the University of Visual & Performing Arts, where she focused on 'Kathak' dance and earned the degree of Bachelor of Performing Arts (special).
Since 2008, Dinupa has actively contributed as a choreographer, dancer, vocalist, and vocal coach to the THEEVRA Performing Arts Ensemble. As a vocalist, she has honed her skills in a variety of music styles, including folk, fusion, contemporary, rock, and pop, among others.
Moreover, Dinupa was once again selected to follow a study program at the University of Visual & Performing Arts, this time focusing on 'Kathak' dance, which ultimately led her to earn the degree of Bachelor of Performing Arts (special).
In 2017, she received the prestigious 'Best Actress' award at the State Drama Festival. Currently, Dinupa is working as a performing artist in the fields of music, dance, theatre, and film. Additionally, she serves as a voice training instructor at Kalabhumi.
