<div>Baminnahennadige Dinakshie Priyasad, born on 18 March 1990 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, is a renowned Sri Lankan actress and television presenter. She stepped into the world of acting at the tender age of two, making her debut in her father Dinesh Priyasad's film titled "Apaye Thathpara 84,000".</div><div><br></div><div>Dinakshie's upbringing was in a devout Catholic family, the eldest of three daughters born to Dinesh Priyasad and Shirani Priyasad. Dinesh Priyasad, her father, is a distinguished film director who introduced innovative technologies and graphics to the Sri Lankan cinema, with his notable work being the 1995 action movie "Demodara Palama" starring Gamini Fonseka. Dinakshie's mother also played a significant role in producing films directed by her father. Her two younger sisters, Sheshadri Priyasad and Shanudrie Priyasad, are also accomplished actresses in the Sri Lankan film and television industry.</div><div><br></div><div>Dinakshie's educational journey led her to the Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya for her ordinary level (O/L) examinations. Subsequently, she pursued pre-university studies in the Maths Stream at the Royal Institute International School. She further continued her education by enrolling at the Open University of Sri Lanka, pursuing a degree in engineering, and concurrently completing a diploma in Media and Mass Communication at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.</div><div><br></div><div>Dinakshie's acting career took significant strides, and in 2009, she played a pivotal role in the tele drama adaptation of Upul Shantha Sannasgala's acclaimed romantic novel, "Wassana Sihinaya," which was produced and directed by Janaka Siriwardana, with the script by Kavindya Jayasekara. Another notable project was her portrayal of a dedicated teacher from an impoverished background in the teledrama "Sanda Giri Pawwa" in 2009, which posed a considerable emotional challenge due to the character's journey from poverty to success. Filming for this project took place in demanding rural settings within the Kurunagala district. She later appeared in "Hithata Wahal Weemi," a teledrama based on Sarath Kaviratne's popular picture story that had previously appeared in the Siththara weekly publication during the seventies. In recognition of her talents, Dinakshie was honored as the top-ranked "Most Beautiful Actress and Model" in Sri Lanka by News4masses in 2019, distinguishing her ascent from a TV presenter and teledrama artist to her current stature.</div><div><br></div><div>Outside of her acting roles, Dinakshie also graced the screen in various music videos as the lead. Notably, she starred in four music videos for artists Tehan Perera, Prabudda Geetha Ruchi, Doctor Band, and Billy Fernando. Additionally, in 2021, she was featured in the Raffealla Fernando Celebrity Calendar alongside other notable Sri Lankan celebrities.</div>
