Shanudrie Priyasad was born in Homagama, Sri Lanka, and is the youngest among three daughters of Dinesh Priyasad and Shirani Priyasad. Both of her elder sisters, Dinakshie Priyasad and Sheshadri Priyasad, are also well-known actresses in the Sri Lankan cinema and television scene. Her father, Dinesh Priyasad, is a respected film director in Sri Lanka, while her mother, Shirani Priyasad, follows a vegan lifestyle. Shanudrie pursued her studies at the Royal Institute International School in Colombo.
Her debut in the world of movies came with her role in the film "Onna Babo," a project directed by her own father. Subsequently, she appeared in several other films, including "Rosa Kale," "Suwanda Denuna Jeewithe," "Angara Dangara," and "Lantin Singho." Her acting talent quickly gained recognition, and she became particularly renowned for her role as Samalka in the teledrama "Deveni Inima."
