Her father, Dinesh Priyasad, is a respected film director in Sri Lanka, while her mother, Shirani Priyasad, follows a vegan lifestyle. Shanudrie pursued her studies at the Royal Institute International School in Colombo.
Her debut in the world of movies came with her role in the film "Onna Babo," a project directed by her own father.
