Meena Kumari

Meena Kumari Perera, born on 15 April, is a renowned Sri Lankan actress primarily known for her work in Sinhala films. Her journey to fame began with a notable career in the Sri Lanka Air Force, where she served before transitioning to a role as a secretary in the private sector. However, her true passion lay in acting, and she eventually pursued her dream as a teledrama actress.

In Sri Lanka, Meena is highly regarded for her exceptional talent and performances in teledramas such as "Asani Warsha," "Ginni kirilli," and "Kanyavi" in the years 2005, 2004, and 2009, respectively. Her dedication and skill in the acting domain brought her recognition and popularity in her home country.

Despite her thriving career in Sri Lanka, Meena's aspirations led her to explore opportunities in the Indian Film Industry. Her journey took her to the Malayalam Film Industry, where she showcased her acting prowess in the movie "Kutty Srank" in 2008.
