Chathurika Jayamani Peiris, born on 2 January 1981, is a prominent figure in Sri Lankan cinema and television, renowned for her roles in popular TV series such as Sepalika, Swayanjatha, and Hiru Thanivela.
On a personal note, Chathurika's family background is deeply connected to the world of entertainment. Her father's older brother, Ariyadasa Peiris, is a respected radio announcer and artist at SLBC (Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation). Chathurika's father, Jayantha Peiris, is a teledrama producer. Her cousin, Charitha Priyadarshani Peiris, is a celebrated singer married to veteran artist Edward Jayakody, and they have two children, Chandeepa and Sharanya. Chathurika's uncle, Ranjith Peiris, has two daughters, Niranjala Basnayake and Chamali Vathsala, who have worked at Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Sri FM, and Lakhanda Radio. Her younger sister, Purnika Pieris, is a teledrama actress and television host at TV Derana. Purnika was previously married to television host Sahan Abeysekera, with whom she has a son named Adithya. After their separation, Purnika married musician and fellow television host Peshala Manoj.
Chathurika herself had a notable romantic history. She was in a long-term relationship with popular actor Roshan Pilapitiya before their split in 2014.
