In August 2016, Udari Perera achieved the esteemed title of Mrs. Sri Lanka after winning the national Mrs. Universe pageant. The competition took place on 17 August 2016 at the Ramada Hotel in Colombo. Following her victory, she proudly represented her country in the Mrs. Universe pageant held in Guangzhou, China, on 23 August 2016.

In 2016, she achieved the prestigious title of Mrs. Sri Lanka and subsequently represented her country in the Mrs. Universe pageant.
In her personal life, Udari has two younger sisters named Purnima and Shehani. She is happily married to Prasad Ranasinghe, and together they have a son named Jaydon. Purnima Perera works as an air hostess, while her sister Shehani Perera is an accomplished actress who has played lead roles in films like "Face to Pace" and "Ethalaya." Udari completed her education at St. Anne's Balika Maha Vidyalaya in Wattala.
Prior to her entry into the film industry, Udari worked as an air hostess. However, her talent and passion for acting led her to pursue a career in cinema.
One of her notable early appearances was in the music video "Ran Ran Ran Sela Anda" by Iraj and Sangeeth in 2007. She made her acting debut in the television serial "Sinindu Piyapath," initially playing a minor role. Her first film role came in 2015 when she starred opposite Hemal Ranasinghe in the movie "Pravegaya."
