Udari Chamika Warnakulasooriya, born on March 22, 1988, is a Sri Lankan actress known for her work in both films and television. She gained recognition for her notable roles in popular TV serials like "Bonda Meedum" and "Pini."
In her early life, Udari was born in Negombo to parents Greshan Fernando and Chitra Pushpakanthi. She has an elder brother named Chamika Haritha. She attended Ave Maria Convent Negombo for her education and was actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including being a part of the school's Western and Eastern bands, as well as participating in sports such as netball, cricket, elle, and volleyball. After completing school, she pursued a degree in child psychology from the American College of Higher Education.
Udari is married to Sujith Indeewara Wijeratne, who is a doctor, and they have a daughter and a son together.
Her career in modeling took off when she won the Dance Talent Crown at the Contest Fiesta Beauty Competition in 2003. She later participated in the Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World 2007 competition and became a finalist, winning several categories such as Miss Talent, Beautiful Legs, Miss Popular, and Miss Clearness Face. In 2015, she competed in the Mrs. Sri Lanka for Mrs. Globe 2015 pageant and emerged as the winner, securing titles in events like Mrs. Talent, Beautiful Skin, Mrs. Elegance, and Mrs. Popular.
Udari also ventured into acting, initially appearing in television commercials and music videos. She made her cinematic debut at the age of 21 in Udayakantha Warnasuriya's film "Paya Enna Hiru Se," where she starred alongside Ranjan Ramanayake.
Her breakthrough in television came with Chandika Senanayake's mega teledrama "Bonda Meedum," where she portrayed the lead character Sansala alongside Saranga Disasekara. The drama gained immense popularity nationwide, and Udari received nominations as the most popular actress in numerous local television award festivals.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, she completed the filming of several films, including "Deveni Yuddhaya" directed by V.
